A more humorous challenge, the theme was "Ouch", and I thing this little fellow bulled it off nicely.

Under Pressure

This one has a bit of a dual meaning, the title refers both to the water pressure and the tension of having depth charges about to go off a mere few hundred meters from your position.

Robodog

Experimenting with a metal panel texture.

Ultima

Just a tribute to Richard Garriott's masterpiece. I'm not sure why I had problems with the texture 'bleeding' but overall it turned out pretty well.

First Cylon

I'm rather pleased with the 'reflection' on the eyepiece, even if the rest of of the model is rather minimalistic.

The First Rooba

While the floor and smoke textures aren't as realistic as I would hope, the metal and wood textures turned out better.

Dapper Sharks

This was a rather fun file to work on. Interestingly, one guy on the Blender Artists forums thought I was making a point about the banking crises. The model(s) is rigged and textured.
