I've read most of Baxter's Xeelee books. It describes Xeelee technology as being built for a hand smaller than humans (which suggests that Xeelee do have physical form), but as far as I know, The Xeelee are never described physically. Also, your representation is probably way too human. Baxter's aliens are all very inhuman. The Squeem are schools of small fish-like creatures, The Qax are made of vibrations, and The Silver Ghosts are cyborgs.
I was unter the impression that the Xeelee could look like pretty much anything there was. Also the human character was able to pilot the Nightfighter so that implied that some of then were humanoid.
No offense, but the Xeelee essentially originated as beings of spacetime - they have no physical form. i.e. no face.
